Chop it up
Take a famous speech (or phrase) from a Shakespeare play – one that nobody in the class knows.
Chop it up word by word and hand the words out to the class.
Talk about the words; the words people don’t understand.
Then work as a group to make a speech of them.
You can put them back differently to the original – however the class choose – but it has to make sense. Any kind of sense! Make a new poem!
